Lubbock, TX

Lubbock was founded in 1890 as part of the movement westward onto the High Plains by ranchers and farmers. It was named for Thomas S Lubbock, former Texas Ranger and confederate soldier. This "Hub City" is the largest in the Panhandle: population 225, 856.
It is the birthplace of Buddy Holly and lifelong Raider fans!
Sculpture of Buddy Holly at the West Texas Walk of Fame where they showcase their native celebrities.
We visited the Tech stadium:
Edward showing some school spirit.
The campus was really nice and spread out with beautiful buildings. Here is a shot of the stadium.
We enjoyed our short stint in the college town!
