Mary Liz Cake

My mom made a sour cream pound cake the night before I was born and every birthday since she has made "Mary Liz cake" for my birthday. So, I made the cake to see if it would work for me...I made the cake last Thursday, no luck yet. Here is the recipe - it's amazing and easy.

1 cup butter or margarine
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 cups sour cream
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup milk
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add 2 cups flour and then sour cream. Add vanilla, last cup of flour, soda and milk. Pour in to greased and floured bundt pan and bake at 325 for 1 hour and 20 minutes, but check after 1 hour.
**Add chocolate morsels, nuts, and even icing is great on the top!

Oh, and here is Edward hunting a black squirrel behind our house... I love living in the country.

I guess the trick was not making the cake but posting about it on your blog the night before he was born (sorry I'm a bit late reading this)
